摘要
Reaction of 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanol (dmap-H) with CuCl2 in 1:1 ratio in THF yielded a dimeric Cu(II) compound with the formula Cu2(dmap-H)2Cl4 (1). 1 is a zwitterion with an intramolecular ammonium group. The proton on the ammonium group can be removed by a base through an intermolecular process. 1 reacted with Cu(OMe)2 in 1:1 ratio in CH2Cl2 to produce a trimeric Cu(II) compound with the formula Cu3(dmap)2Cl4 (2). Both crystal structures of 1 and 2 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. 1, C14H36Cu2Cl4O2N4.C7H8, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 18.619 (3) angstrom, b = 12.129 (2) angstrom, c = 13.822 (2) angstrom, beta = 106.69 (1)-degrees, V = 2989.8 (7) angstrom 3, and Z = 4. 2, C14H34Cu3Cl4O2N4.CH2Cl2, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/a with a = 16.45 (2) angstrom, b = 10.445 (7) angstrom, c = 16.47 (1) angstrom, beta = 101.52 (8)-degrees, V = 2793 (5) angstrom 3, and Z = 4.
