摘要：
Toxic wastes, the legacy of past industry, pollute many of our waterways. Disposing of contaminated sediments is increasingly costly, if possible at all. Engineers are trying new approaches to this mounting problem including containing such sediments in geosynthetic tubes, performing bioremediation and converting them to construction aggregates.
