FAULT IDENTIFICATION IN DYNAMIC-SYSTEMS

Fault identification in deterministic dynamic systems (DS) is considered. Fault models for DS are examined. The main identification method is based on the sensitivity of the DS to structural changes in the presence of faults. Identification is by solving the inverse problem of sensitivity theory. This involves solving a sequence of subproblems: detecting a fault; identifying the faulty element; estimating the magnitude of the change in the relevant parameter in the presence of the fault.
