摘要：
The programme SIMPLEX designed for searching the optimum of functions of many variables with single extremum is discussed. The programme enables the search for a maximum or a minimum if the function of several variables is known (for nine functions) or it is unknown (for example in searching for optimum conditions of carrying out a chemical analysis). The programme may be used also as a didactic tool.
