摘要
We present approximate solutions for the Brans-Dicke field equations in vacuum, assuming spherical symmetry and static fields. Apart from the trivial solution phi = constant, there exist solutions with phi vanishing at r = 0 and approaching a constant value as r --> infinity. Finally, we show that these solutions produce flat rotation curves in the region r(sh) << r << square-root omega/2r(sh).
