The future of systematic theology Religious Others in a post-confessional and pluralistic environment

At the global level it has become increasingly difficult to isolate our understanding of the nature and purpose of Christian systematic theology from the reality of other religious traditions. This paper identifies three interrelated premises in the present Danish discussion on the relationship between Islam and Christianity. Through a systematic theological critique the paper offers an analytical reconstruction of theology as an academic and practical discipline and answers the overall question: What is the future nature and task of systematic theology in our religiously pluralistic age?
