Subcultures on the network: identity and youth

The Information Technology and Communication (ICT) have an increasing influence on the way we relate and in shaping personal identity. The phenomenon of online social networking emerges strongly contribute to the development of new spaces of communication that sometimes break with the official discourse. This paper analyzes the impact of ICT in relation to the identity of the digital natives. Particular attention to how the network society determines the response of young people in situations of social tension is dedicated.
