This article shows up some points for a discussion about the philosophical nature of the urban space production process from the case of Recife, a town situated in a 'periphery' of the capitalist system. Under a context of unequal historical-geographical development in which there is a clear deadlock between the market interest and the human interest, always in favour of the first, we pointed, firstly, the aspects of 'market town logic' and 'human town logic'. After that, and secondly, searching for making a balance between both logics, we encourage people to think about another urban space for everybody without dualism logical, making its possibility in question.
