摘要：
Alumina Xerogels were prepared using Aluminium isopropoxide. Some physical and mechanical properties were measured. Presence of nanosized particles and chemical polymerization resulted in transparency, lack of ordered structure and large surface area in the transition phases of alumina. In spite of porosity, the indentation hardness could be measured owing to the smooth surface. The properties could be related to the microstructure. © 1990, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
