EXPERIENCES WITH CONTINUOUS RECORDERS OF DUST EMISSIONS IN WASTE-GAS FROM SUGAR FACTORY PULP DRIERS

Two types of measuring devices, based respectively on optical and radiometric principles, are currently available for continuous monitoring of dust emissions in waste gas from sugar factory pulp driers. This paper describes the operating modes of both systems, the preconditions for their employment and the results obtained during their calibration. It was found that the measuring systems described do not at present offer the possibility of continuous registration of the dust concentration in the waste gas of pulp driers with the required reliability, accuracy and interpretability.
