POLYCHLORINATED DIBENZO-P-DIOXINS (PCDDS) AND POLYCHLORINATED DIBENZOFURANS (PCDFS) IN COWS MILK FROM SWITZERLAND

摘要：
28 samples of Swiss cow's milk and one sample of goat's milk were analyzed for PCDDs and PCDFs. The results show that concentrations in average consumers milk are similar to those in milk from other European countries. Very low background contamination was detected in milk from rural areas without specific PCDD/PCDF sources. The influence of different local sources (waste incineration, metal recycling) on the PCDD/PCDF concentrations in milk of the surrounding area was clearly detectable. From these data the contribution of dairy products to the intake of PCDDs and PCDFs via food by the Swiss population was assessed.
