摘要
In competitive environments, a permanent commitment of the workforce is essential. The commitment may minimize the intentions to quit, so implicating in lower turnover indices. In this context, this article aims to describe the degree of commitment of salesmen and managers in two Trunks and Accessories retail sale shops, located in Shopping Centers of the Metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte; and investigate the possible relationship between the degree of commitment and the turnover behaviors. We realized a comparative case study between the two nets of retail shops. The data were collected through questionnaires, semi structured interviews and focused groups. The results show a moderated amount of affective, normative and instrumental commitment, together with evidences that suggest a positive relation between commitment and turnover.
