The article is devoted to the most pressing issue of the EU Enlargement Policy - Turkey joining the European Union. The author claims that Germany 's view on the problem is mainly based on stereotypes. On the basis of reliable empirical material - mass media data - the author reveals the attitude of the main Germany's political parties (CDU/CSU, SPD, Alliance '90/The Greens, FDP) towards Turkey's EU entry.
