EFFECT OF MULTIPLE-TIME-AROUND CLUTTER ON AN ADAPTIVE SPACE-BORNE MTI RADAR

摘要
The platform motion of a spaceborne an airborne radar causes clutter echoes to be Doppler coloured. Optimum clutter suppression can be accomplished by space-time filters. Such filters make use of the fact that, for stationary clutter echoes, there is an equivalence between direction and Doppler frequency. If the radar is range ambiguous then each direction is associated with a superposition of several ambiguous Doppler frequencies. The effect of such multiple-around Doppler spectra on the performance of adaptive space-time clutter filters is discussed.
