摘要
This paper describes the collection and use of box office data for arts marketing. Computerised box office systems are now available which compile a patron database as a central function and offer additional opportunities to capture information and integrated analysis of patron data. The author describes a development project, commissioned by the Arts Council for which system suppliers were invited to collaborate with some of their users in extracting, analysing and manipulating data from box office systems.
