The Participation of the Intellectual Property in the Politics of International Trade

After the II World War the countries adopted new international trade politics. The adoption of non-tariff barriers began to be used by countries that supports liberal model of trade. In this context, with the innovation dynamics influencing international trade politics, the intellectual property starts to be discussed. Thus, the focus of this article is to observe the Intellectual Property, in international trade politics, concerning its analysis in the negotiations and the International Organisms of the Trade. The methodology used was the bibliographical research, for the revision of the trade economic theories, from the creation of the GATT and the WTO, in the intellectual property regulations in the scope of these organisms and of the international trade politics. It is intended to verify the participation of the intellectual property in international trade politics, making an analysis, mainly, of the participation of the intellectual property in the International Treaties of Trade.
