摘要
Efforts to find a solution to the problem of recycling mixed plastics wastes concentrate mainly on improved separating processes with subsequent material reclamation, as well as on so-called energy recycling, i.e. combustion of the plastics waste utilizing its heat content. In this paper, cumbustion using pure oxygen in a closed high temperature conversion plant is proposed as an alternative. The gasification products, especially carbon dioxide, should be used as raw materials for chemical products like urea or methanol. Since the equipment and process stages proposed for this technique are already known and have been used in practice for some time, this technology, called carbon recycling, could be implemented within a short time.
