From Vietnam to Hungary, countries in various stages of transition from central planning to market economies are turning to tourism as an important component of their national industry portfolios. Cuba is no exception. Tourism has the potential to be one of Cuba's most lucrative sectors. Simon discusses the impact of this growing sector on Cuba's structural and economic development, the foreign investment tourism has garnered and what it requires for the future.
