SYNTHESIS AND X-RAY CRYSTAL-STRUCTURE OF [RE2(MU-CL)2(CO)6(MU-PH2PCH2CH2PPH2)]

摘要
The CO substitution reaction of Re2(CO)10 with Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2 in the presence of (C2H5)3NO as an oxygen atom transfer reagent affords a novel substituted metal carbonyl complex of formula Re2Cl2(CO)6(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2), in which the chlorine is presumably extracted from the solvent CHCl3. An X-ray crystallographic analysis of the new complex has provided evidence for two chlorine and one diphosphine ligands bridging two rhenium atoms, Re(1) and Re(2), coordinated to three terminal COs, respectively.
