摘要
The cross-polarization characteristics of a spherical-circular microstrip patch antenna excited at TM11 mode by a probe are investigated theoretically. The theoretical treatment is based on a rigorous Green's-function formulation in the spectral domain. Numerical calculations are performed by using Galerkin's moment method. Numerical results of the cross-polarization characteristics for different curvature radii of the spherical microstrip antenna are presented and analyzed. It is found that a smaller curvature radius of the spherical microstrip antenna can reduce the cross-polarized radiation of the circular patch antenna at TM11 mode, and the cross-polarization level increases with decreasing curvature radius.
