From designation to poetic creation. An approach to the work of Vicente Huidobro

This study looks at Vicente Huidobro's poetry from a linguistic perspective. Huidobro's creacionista's process is analyzed through the lenses of Alenxander Luria's octogenetic hypothesis (1980) since a theory of language can be outlined both in Huidobro's poetry and in his poetics. Luria's theory is considered with respect to the origen, evaluation and functions of the word. Our methodology has been the analysis of the Manifestos entitled "Poetry" and " Pure Creation. Essay on Aesthetics". In this way we expect to profile the creacionista movement in the full context of the vanguard. Later on, we draw a contrast between the octogenetic theory with theories postulated in two of his manifestos and then proceed to our proposed study of creacionismo. Our study allowed us to (a) evaluate creacionismo, (b) relate Luria's octogenetic theory to Huidobro's poetic creation and (c) understand the use, value and meaning of the word in the referential and poetic worlds.
