摘要：
The global system for mobile communications (GSM) has been made to conform to a set of European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) specifications that detail the entire system. This technology has become so important because of the wide range of services it provides. The services presently defined in the GSM are seen as core functionality. Each of these services can be in turn identified by the network. In addition, the GSM specifications also allow GSM infrastructure manufacturers to build services that are not part of the GSM specifications. Hence, it can be concluded that GSM has been designed to evolve and develop.
