摘要：

Arctoscyphus, a new genus from southern Chile and Tierra del Fuego, with a single species, Arctoscyphus ronsmithii, is described and illustrated. The taxon, that belongs to the Geocalycaceae has been compared with other genera of the family and in particular with Pedinophyllopsis abdita, additional characters of which are described and illustrated.
