摘要
The transient buildup of a phase-conjugate, stimulated-Brillouin-scattering Stokes beam is considered. A zero-order numerical solution to the governing equations is found. An efficient numerical algorithm is developed that requires approximately 1 s of Cray C-90 computer CPU time per time increment for solution The temporal variation of the phase-conjugate fidelity and reflectivity is calculated. Conjugate fidelity is shown to reach high values well before peak reflectivity, which is achieved in tens of phonon lifetimes.
