摘要：
It was shown that in order lo develop a general theory of anxiety it is necessary to identify and analyze the function of enxiety alongside with the study of manifestations of anxiety as a transient state and as a personality trail. The functional approach makes it possible to regard an anxiety state not only as a series of reactions characterizing this state but also as a subjective factor affecting the dynamics of activity.
