摘要
The article describes the Extrude Hone process, which is a patented abrasive flow machining process for deburring, polishing, adjusting, and sizing. It is based upon holding the workpieces stationary and directing the flow of abrasive grain, held in a semisolid extrudable matrix, across the edges and surfaces to be deburred or finished. It has a high degree of flexibility and control to accommodate variations in workpiece materials and deburring or finishing requirements. Proper application of the machine, fixtures, and media formulations provides a versatile cost-effective production finishing process.
