Phytotherapy of allergodermatoses is effective during remissions and convalescence. Medicinal plants are chosen with due consideration for their allergenic properties: those that are considered to be allergenic are not used. The plants used in therapy of allergic dermatoses include adaptogens (ginseng, Schizandra, eleutherococcus, etc.), plants stimulating adrenocortical activity (licorice, bur marigold), those with gastroenterologic effects (St. John's wort, burnet, etc.), and itching-alleviating agents (enothera oil). Recommendations on external therapy of allergic dermatoses with medicinal plants are given.
