WAYS OF ENTERING THE POLISH MARKET BY FOREIGN COMPANIES

摘要
The Polish foreign trade is undergoing progressive transformations, including gradual abolition of the monopoly of foreign trade and diversification of forms of entering the Polish market. This study analyzes the changes taking place in this field and their determinants. The analysis is based on 3 criteria: (1) the territory of foreign trade activities; (2) the form and scope of trade intermediary; and (3) the form of co-operation with Polish enterprises. Discussed are: (1) the changes in the role of intermediaries in foreign trade; (2) the development of direct marketing channels; (3) the forms of entering the market through conclusion of export-import transactions; and (4) the creation of Polish-foreign joint ventures. Also analyzed is the current state of established free economic zones in Poland.
