Lateral epicondylitis is the most common cause of lateral sided elbow pain in adults. While conservative treatment can relieve the symptoms, recalcitrant pain often requires surgical intervention. Various methods have been described including open, mini-open, percutaneous, and partial lateral epicondylectomy. Arthroscopic treatment for lateral epicondylitis may replace all other techniques. This article provides a systematic approach to the treatment of lateral epicondylitis.
