THE INTRODUCTION OF A PRACTICAL PROCESS EXPERT SYSTEM

Using the basic principle of expert system, putting the advantages of semi-generative CAPP and variant CAPP together,a practical process expert system which is based of the union of generation, search, rule, selection design methods is developed. The block sketch factor input methodsare incorporated in this system. The describing of part information is complete, accurate, reliable and can be searched, generated easily. Controlled by inference engine, mated with the information of DB, the knowledge is indicated by generation rule and backtrack rule. The process is arranged in order according to routing of roughing-semi-finishing-finishing. It takes short time to generate process route accurately, and can be modified; increased, deleted easily. This system has excellent flexibility and adaptability.
