Micro and Small Companies and the good Environmental practices

Managers and businessmen are searching for right environmental solutions and their compromising degree is increasing. Although the quantity of micro and small businesses is big, the majority of environmental practices are seen in medium and big business. Therefore, we aimed to identify if micro and small businesses are acknowledged by their good environmental practices. A data bank from an annual prize award that shows good environmental practices was used for the purpose of this article and we classified companies according to their size. We did not surveyed micro or small business companies. We suggested that the main inhibitors for the introduction of environmental management into a micro or small businesses are the lack of money and technology. On the other hand, medium and big companies look for best environmental performance due to the regulation, stakeholder's pressure and free competition.
