摘要
Animal health and food hygienic regulations for the internal market of the European Union have been summarized. Methods of the new type control system (control of documentation and identity, as well as of physical examinations) have been treated together with the technical conditions, and strategies of disease prevention and control. Importation of goods originating from a third country is controlled with special care. It covers the control, investigation and determination of the accompanying documentation and expert certification of foodstuffs. The third country is obliged to report food safety information and results of examinations. Harmonization regulations for fresh meat, different animal species, semen and embryos, etc. have also been treated together with the recommendations and regulations for slaughterhouses and meat processing. Finally, processes to be followed in case of poultry, rabbit and game animal meat have been reported. Regulations and organization of testing system for residues in foodstuffs have also been summarized.
