摘要
A combination of high flux, low retention membrane-modules with high retention membrane modules may lead to higher production rates in concentrating solutions in particular at relatively high osmotic values of the solutions. Concentrating to osmotic values exceeding the applied pressure is possible by using low-retention membranes. The costs of concentrating glucose with the membrane process described in this paper are lower than the costs of multi-effect evaporation even at relatively high osmotic values.
