AN INTEGRATED SOFTWARE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE NUCLEAR-MEDICINE DEPARTMENT DATA

Effective management of nuclear medicine department now requires powerful computing tools. We describe an integrated software, called Spot Medecine Nucleaire, which is fully adapted to nuclear medecine specificities. Main module performs administrative and medical management and integrates a large number of functionalities such as automatic edition of medical letters, labels and social security forms, radiopharmaceuticals management with a direct connection to the dose-calibrator, regular edition of statistical data. Imaging module enables to import images from gamma-cameras, to annotate them, to print them and to archive them on hard disks in such a way they are linked to the 'examination' file and are available in short times without fastidious manipulation of optical disks. The register module edits OPRI forms concerning management of the radio-pharmaceuticals and quality control of gamma-cameras and dose-calibrators. The dosimetry module edits data concerning dosimetric survey of the staff of the nuclear medicine department.
