摘要：
A parallel is drawn between the design of curricula for the university education of engineers and the engineering design of products and systems. This "engineering design analogy" is explored with the aim of producing a fresh perspective on how to make the initial education of engineers better suited to the rapidly changing world of the future, and to improve its overall quality. The analogy is pursued from its implications for institutional corporate strategy, then through the different phases of design and briefly considers curriculum design solutions. © 1990.
