摘要
We investigate the effect of an inhomogeneous interphase on elastic constants of unidirectional fiber reinforced composites. We assume that the interphase, a zone between a fiber and a matrix, has elastic properties changing with the radial distance from the fiber's boundary. We consider two types of variation: linear and power, and include numerical examples for a glass/epoxy and a graphite/epoxy composite.
