Quantum smearing of spacetime singularity

摘要：
We propose a quantum mechanical generalization of the affine length of a curve which gives a criterion of whether a classical singularity is smeared out by a quantum fluctuation of the spacetime geometry. An explicit example is demonstrated in the (2 + 1)-dimensional black-hole model.
