TOWARDS A COSMOPOLITAN ETHICS OF SUSTAINABILITY

The geopolitical structure of the interaction between State-nations in the technological world, which has predominated during the last century, is no longer able to face the main problems of the globalization. The current state of increasing world-wide integration in very diverse economic, techno-scientific, environmental and political aspects, is requiring the construction of an ethics of universal principles that rearranges and regulates the relationship between peoples and States. This paper argues about the necessity and the feasibility of a cosmopolitan ethics and politics, as well as multinational policies of sustainability.
