INFLUENCE OF SOME CYANOACETYLHYDRAZINE DERIVATIVES ON THE CORROSION OF IRON IN HYDROCHLORIC-ACID SOLUTION

摘要
The inhibition by some cyanoacetylhydrazine derivatives for the corrosion of iron in solutions of hydrochloric acid has been studied using polarization, scanning electron microscopy and electrocapillary measurements. The inhibitors appear to function through general adsorption following the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Galvanostatic polarization data suggest that for all inhibitors the cathode and anode are polarized under the influence of an external current.
