摘要
In this article we discuss different aspects of recreational science, in a social as well as in an educational context. After considering the possibilities of recreational science as a teaching tool, we come to the following conclusions: (i) recreational science is very suitable to capture the attention and to stimulate the interest for the science of students (as well as general public); (ii) properly set in context, it can be useful in the classroom; (iii) it offers great possibilities for carrying out practical works (with different -mainly everyday and cheap- materials and in various environments), and (iv) having fun while teaching-learning is positive for both students and teachers. Therefore, when properly used, recreational science turns out into an excellent resource for the teaching-learning process.
