A MODERN CONCEPTION OF CIVIC VIRTUE

Champions of attic tangent thesis argue in the ancient Greek and Roman world civic virtue, freedom and happiness used to converge. On the other hand, in the world called modern's by Benjamin Constant civic virtue declined and the link became broken. Authors in favour of attic tangent thesis propose to rebuild the link. This current work argue in favour of the modern conception of civic virtue and giving up the attic tangent thesis deliberately and forever.
