摘要：
The effect of structurel instability of PbI2 crystals under laser irradiation, i.e. the phase transition from metastable 4H polytype to stable 2H one, is reported. It is shown that phase transition occurs by the formation of stacking faults and subsequent ordering in the 2H polytype. © 1990.
