摘要
This paper aims to verify the Sartrean analysis about the life of Baudelaire that goes far beyond a simple biography. This is about the choice that a certain man made himself at a given moment in history. In fact, we found in this research the life of the poet's concern with documentation dates or the genealogy of the investigation, but for Baudelaire's decision to choose the evil, precisely because it is evil and not because this evil is a good for him. His poetic vocation was born like a repudiation of moral values such as sobriety, chastity, charity work and what constitutes as poet cursed. but also it is a tribute to these values and a way to keep them. Thus the principle of poetry is strictly and simply human aspiration towards a Higher Beauty.
