CHAOTIC DYNAMICS OF 2 COUPLED CLASSICAL SPINS

摘要：
We show that a very simple system consisting of two interacting classical spins driven by a microwave field displays a very rich nonlinear dynamics similar to spin-wave instabilities. The two normal modes of the system are described by coupled nonlinear equations obtained from the Landau-Lifschitz equation of motion. The dynamics of the model with an anisotropy field exhibits well-known transitions to chaos, namely, period doubling and intermittency.
