摘要
One of the most important social actors in construction of ethnicity, media releases ethno centric practices and discourses. In various mass media ethnocentrism finds new forms of expression, building and reinforcing imaginaries. A relational and critical regard all owed us to identify ethnocentric aspects in discourses in the French media about the attractions of city of Paris. Starting from this observation, this work aims to point and analyze such discourses. To do so we collected, in loco, journalistic, informative and propaganda material about the French capital. We investigated a significant sample of texts of the newspapers Direct Matin and Metro publications gratuity o usly distributed on the subway of Paris and that, at a first glance, don't have tourism as focus. To substantiate the discussion and the study within the communication studies, we work with the concepts of imaginary, culture and ethnocentrism.
