摘要：

The superiority of ''practice'' methodologies and their use apart from programs of research or in appropriately applied situations is disputed. In this article, the line between conjecture and evidence in one practice methodology, the clinical case study, is explored and recommendations for improving collaboration between researchers and practitioners are made.
