摘要：

The outpatient clinic of dermatology and venereology of the University of Gottingenwas opened on Nov. 1st, 1917. Thus, we could look back on a history of 90 years of dermatology in Gottingen recently. This prompted us to summarize the most important milestones in the development of the Department of Dermatology of the University of Gottingen. After years of separation of the inpatient and outpatient clinics, their unification in the new building inaugurated in 1959 meant a great improvement of working conditions. Scientific and clinical foci have changed considerably in the course of the decades.
