摘要：

We describe an almost common path confocal microscope in which a single mode optical fibre acts both to launch and detect the confocal amplitude signal as well as to provide the reference beam. We introduce a high frequency dither to the fibre tip and use a synchronous electrical demodulation technique to obtain the real and imaginary parts of the interference term image. The pure confocal image is also available simultaneously.
