摘要：
This article investigates whether market structure (degree of industrial concentration) is a significant determinant of income distribution in the manufacturing sector of Taiwan which, in 1986, accounted for 40% of net domestic product. Regression results based on 1986 census data provide no solid evidence for this hypothesis. One can conclude, therefore, that market structure is not an important factor in explaining Taiwan's income inequalities.
