The authors in this volume have done an outstanding job raising awareness of the challenges that lay before us in better serving Latinos in the field of alcohol and providing action steps to help us achieve the goals associated with culturally competent practice. There is little doubt that the next decade will bring with it a host of opportunities and challenges as Latinos continue their dramatic numerical increase throughout all regions of this country.
